Ancestral machines of the crossroads: “povo da rua” as an alternative to the asylum-based society

Abstract
This article moves between two seemingly irreconcilable itineraries: Lacanian psychoanalysis and schizoanalysis. It unfolds in two moments. In the first, I focus on my encounter with the poetics of Stella do Patrocínio’s falatórios (speech acts or spoken monologues) and on how I am affected by her personal history, engaging in dialogue with the clinical application of Deleuze and Guattari’s thought. In the second, I recount my encounter with Pombagira Dama da Noite, referring both to Caio Fernando Abreu’s short story of the same name and to several concepts elaborated by Lacan in his Seminar X. Amid possible points of convergence, the expectation is to consider how schizoanalysis and Lacanian psychoanalysis may together contribute to the construction of an anti-asylum poetics.
