Abstract

We try to discuss here the notion of aesthetics, listening different situations. We are provoked by the world created among the opened walls of an unfinished building, occupied by students of Universidade Federal Fluminense; we are challenged by the experience of a march in struggle for housing, under the repression of the military police, an experience that comes to us with the images of a film, On the mission, with Kadu (2016), by Aiano Bemfica, Kadu Freitas e Pedro Maia de Brito. In the company of these situations, we draw some variations around the index of indetermination that the aesthetic state can create, as a way to enable the constant dispute for the present and for other ways of inhabiting a common space. We point here to some possible approaches to the notion of aesthetics, considered in a paradoxical regime of autonomy and heteronomy with other forces, implicated in the process of elaborating a community.

Cezar Migliorin é professor de Cinema e membro do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Cinema e Audiovisual na UFF. Coordenador do projeto nacional de cinema, educação e direitos humanos: Inventar com a Diferença. Organizador do livro Ensaios no Real: o documentário brasileiro hoje (2010), escreveu Inevitavelmente cinema: educação, política e mafuá (2015), Cartas sem resposta (2015) e o livro de ficção A menina (2014). Realizou diversos filmes, entre eles o documentário “Educação”, com Isaac Pipano. É presidente da Socine – Sociedade Brasileira de Estudos de Cinema e Audiovisual.

Doutorando pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação da Universidade Federal Fluminense (PPGCOM-UFF), em regime de cotutela com a Université Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris 3, atualmente com bolsa no exterior financiada pelo CNPq. Junto com Ticiana Lima, Luciana Vieira e Isabel Coelho, organizou o curso "O cinema e a experiência de vizinhança" (2017), em Fortaleza. Realizou a curadoria das seguintes Mostras, na Vila das Artes, em Fortaleza: “Dramaturgias do Comum no Cinema Contemporâneo” (2015), “Adolfo Arrieta e o Deslumbre do Real” (2016 – com Jorge Polo e Petrus de Bairros), “Formas abertas e os tempos das colheitas” (2017 – com Elena Meirelles, Lívia de Paiva, Jorge Polo, Polly Di e Yuri Firmeza).
