The numerical image of thought
Main Article Content
Abstract
The paper seeks to reflect on the definition of thought in our present-day, when the word intelligent is being used on a large scale by systems with high computational power. In this case, we will approach the generative production of ChatGPT, criticizing the notion of intelligence associated with it. To operate the critique, we propose the notion of numerical image of thought. This notion was created by combining the study of three notions by the philosopher Gilles Deleuze (1925-1995), which are: the “image of thought”; the “numerical” image of cinema; and the characteristics of the control society.
